About this blog
Aid logistics has been around for as long as there has been aid — but only recently have we started to take it seriously as a professional discipline, especially in the health sector. A Humourless Lot is a journey through the no-man’s-land between logistics, health, and aid work; it tries to make it less of a no-man’s-land and more of a healthy, thriving town.
The title refers to a quotation ascribed to Alexander the Great: “My logisticians are a humourless lot…they know if my campaign fails, they are the first ones I will slay.” But of course there is more behind it… and finding out what could be a rewarding experience. Walk with me, and enjoy the journey.
